Wiindamaakewinan

This module was created as a small contribution toward the resilience and growth of Anishinaabemowin, the language of the Ojibwe/Anishinaabeg. Anishnaabe scholar Alan Odjig Corbiere engages in conversations with knowledge keeper and artist Saul Williams at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, ON in April 2023.

We acknowledge that many dialects of the language exist in Anishinaabe Aki. We consulted with speakers from across this vast territory and because of that, not all of the oral and written text in Anishinaabemowin derives from one dialect. We rely on the Ojibwe People's Dictionary throughout this project and wish to thank the creators of this important resource for allowing us to use their site: ojibwe.lib.umn.edu. Chi-miigwetch
